"be there" now and forever

The Jewish Community Foundation of MetroWest NJ offers various opportunities that can meet your philanthropic needs. Below are a listing of some of the options available to members of the community. Please click on the downloads to view a brochure on each opportunity.

  • Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment (PACE): a permanent fund dedicated to endowing your Jewish community Annual Campaign gift. A PACE fund is not intended to take the place of any part of an annual gift -- it is instead, a lasting legacy that will continue to make an annual gift to the campaign in perpetuity on your behalf.
  • Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust: provides a way to avoid fluctuations in interest rates and ensures that you or someone you designate receives a fixed income.
  • Charitable Bequest: by deciding to leave a bequest of a specific amount of cash, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate, you can create a permanent legacy.
  • Charitable Gift Annuity: in exchange for your gift to the Jewish community, you will receive a fixed income for life -- beginning at age 65. A portion of the gift qualifies for a current income tax charitable deduction, thereby reducing your taxes now, while the full value of the gift is removed from your estate. In addition, part of the annuity payment may be tax free.
  • Charitable Lead Trust: an excellent way to transfer property to family members with significantly reduced gift or estate taxes. At the same time, you'll be making a valuable contribution to the Jewish community to help with critical needs now -- or to support initiatives and organizations in the future.
  • Charitable Remainder Unitrust: provides a way to obtain an income for life which can grow as the funds invested in the trust grow. The unitrust provides a variable payment, based upon a fixed rate multiplied by the current value of the asset in the trust at the beginning of each year.
  • Donor Advised Funds: by making a contribution of cash or securities in the amount of $10,000 or more you may establish a fund which is held in an account which you name. The Jewish community offers several investment options; you recommend how your funds are to be invested.
  • Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE): establishing a Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE) allows a woman to endow her gift in perpetuity. Through simple, innovative steps, an endowed gift is within the reach of a Lion of Judah, regardless of her age or giving level.
  • Named Endowment Funds: when you create a Named Endowment Fund, you are establishing a permanent fund in your name or in the name of someone you wish to honor or remember. Each year, the fund will produce income, and you can specify how the spendable portion of the fund should be used.
  • Supporting Foundation: provides a unique vehicle for you to involve your family in the covenant of philanthropy. It functions very much like a private family foundation, but because it is aligned with the Jewish community, you receive additional tax consideration that would not be available with a private foundation.

Let your name be remembered as a blessing.
