About the Jewish Women's Foundation |
We are women of all ages and backgrounds, united by our Jewish values and our passion for creating a world in which all women and girls grow up in healthy, supportive environments, with equal opportunity for economic, religious, social, and political achievement. We are female philanthropists, intent upon overcoming the barriers and resolving the issue that prevent women and girls from taking their just place in society and realizing their true potential. more |
How it works |
The Jewish Women's Foundation of New Jersey is set up as an endowment – women contribute money and the income from that money is distributed to organizations through a donor-advised granting process. All women in the foundation have an equal voice in the granting process, no matter how much they contribute. All organizations that receive grants from JWF must help empower women and girls – in the workplace, in school, on the playing field, and more. more |
