Mission to Poland & Israel

Embark on an extraordinary one week journey to Poland and Israel this coming April with the Women’s Department of UJC MetroWest. This mission, called Zachor (remember), will explore two destinations, each with its own special place in Jewish history and culture. Mission participants will remember the six million who perished and will rejoice with the almost six million who now live in Israel.

The experience in Poland will include guided tours in historic Warsaw and will be highlighted by joining thousands of teens on their march as part of the March of the Living through the camps in and around Krakow. 

A highlight of Israel portion of the mission, in addition to briefings on current Israeli matters, will be an unforgettable spiritual Havdallah service under the stars to conclude Shabbat.

Space is limited and enthusiasm is high for this mission.  Subsidies are available on a limited basis.  An information session, which will include a review of details for the trip, will be held for all those interested. To find out more about the information session or reserve your place on this moving mission,  to contact the Missions Department or call 973/929.3046.

All participants will be asked to contribute to Jewish social services at home, in Israel and worldwide by making a voluntary suggested contribution commitment of $1,000 to the 2006 United Jewish Appeal of MetroWest Campaign.

Generally, according to the Internal Revenue Code, your gift is deductible only to the extent that it, plus your payments for this mission, exceed the benefit received.  In addition, any payments for extra air/or land cost are not tax deductible.
