About MaxMara
Quality, style, wearable design, colors, fine fabrics, and yarns: more than 50 years of ideas and desires turned into reality. MaxMara was established in 1951 with one camel colored overcoat and one geranium red suit. The response was overwhelming and success was immediate.
Founder Achille Maramotti devoted himself entirely to the family passion of dressmaking after graduating with a law degree – a passion inherited from his great grandmother Marina Rinaldi, who at the end of the 19th century ran a high class atelier in the heart of Reggio Emilia, Italy.
Maintaining a sense of innovative tradition, the MaxMara group 2007 is led by the current generation of Maramotti. The MaxMara collections today are true to the integrity of clean cut design and accurate dressmaking production with the purpose of satisfying the lifestyle and respecting the personality of each individual woman.
