UJA Major Gifts Event: Each year, UJC kicks off the campaign with a Major Gifts Reception for our most generous donors. The Major Gifts Reception is a lavish evening at the magnificent Crystal Plaza with over 300 in attendance. Guests invited to the event currently donate a minimum of $10,000 to the annual campaign. This reception sets the tone and the pace for the entire year. Every year at this extraordinary event features critically acclaimed speakers, such as NBC’s Tim Russert, Ambassador Dennis Ross, William Safire, Richard Holbrooke, Ambassador Dan Gillerman, and former Mayor of New York Edward Koch.

The Next Step: One Community. One Day. One Gift. : This is the community-wide campaign event for Wone's Philanthropy for the 2010 UJA Annual Campaign. THE NEXT STEP embodies the idea that there is always ONE more step we can take, ONE more way in which we as women can seek to repair the world. event supports the annual United Jewish Appeal of MetroWest N.J. Women’s Campaign. The Registration fee is $40, and a minimum gift of $365 to the 2010 UJA of MetroWest NJ Annual Campaign enables you to attend this event.

The Winter Gala: This event has attracted as many as 500 of our highest level donors. It brings together our most loyal contributors who donate a minimum of $1,000 annually. Past speakers include Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter Bob Woodward, Prime Minister Ehud Barak, Darrel Hammond, Charlie Rose, Richard Dreyfus, and James Carville & Mary Matalin.

Super Sunday: For years, the highlight of community participation has been UJC’s annual Super Sunday Phonathon. One thousand people from the MetroWest Community volunteer their time to support the efforts of UJC, and help raise almost $3 million in just one day! All monies raised at our phonathon benefit social service and educational agencies in our community as well as help support services and programs in Israel and in 60 countries worldwide.

UJC/JCC Family Chanukah Concert: Bring your family for a night of music, latkes, and sufganiot (jelly doughnuts) as we celebrate Chanukah listening to the music of noted Jewish artists.

Arthur Borinsky Young Leadership Development Program: The Arthur Borinsky Young Leadership Development Program (ABYLDP) is an annual program geared towards young Jewish adults from the MetroWest community, under age 45. Designed as an entry-point to learning about United Jewish Communities of MetroWest NJ, ABYLDP educates on its local and overseas agencies, the valued role of leadership in the community, and how money is raised and allocated to meet the needs of Jews around the world.

Women’s Awareness Day: This educational event brings together 400 women of all ages from the community. While there is no minimum gift required, women who attend this event typically donate at least $1000 to the UJA campaign. Previous speakers include: Rear Admiral Susan J. Blumenthal, Rita Katz, Deborah Lipstadt, Phyllis Chesler, Lori Palatnick, Letty Cottin Progrebin, Dennis Prager, and Dr. Joyce Brothers.

Young Women’s Spring Event: Last year, this event featuring a MaxMara fashion show was a huge success drawing hundreds of young women. The event attended by over 250 women helped raised awareness as well as funds for philanthropic endeavors here in our local community as well as overseas.

Spring Fling: Sponsored by the Young Leadership Division and Young Women's Campaign, UJC recognizes two individuals for their outstanding efforts and work throughout our Jewish community.

CareLink: CareLink is a volunteer program ran through Jewish Family Services and JCC MetroWest, two of UJC beneficiary agencies. This program helps keep the homebound elderly connected to the Jewish Community through personalized visits from volunteers.

UJC Missions: UJC has partnering communities in Israel and the former Soviet Union. Through the help of our overseas partnering agencies, The Jewish Agency for Israel and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, dollars raised by the MetroWest Jewish community are allocated to best meet the needs in each of these communities. On a UJC mission you will travel to these places to get a first-hand look at the work UJA does and the impact we help make.

UJC Mini-Mission: The dollars raised by UJC are allocated to Jewish communities locally and abroad. UJC has 19 local beneficiary agencies throughout the MetroWest community. On a UJC mini-mission, you will visit some of our partnering agencies and get a first-hand look at the services the agencies provide and the people they help.
