UJC MetroWest offers seminar about spiritual caring for caregivers

MetroWest CARES and Joint Chaplaincy Committee of MetroWest, two affiliates of United Jewish Communities of MetroWest NJ, present “From Strength to Strength: Spiritual Caring for the Family Caregiver” on Monday, Feb. 11 from 8:30 a.m. – noon on the Alex Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus, 901 Route 10, Whippany.

The program will be an inspiring and practical workshop for chaplains, rabbis, social workers, and Jewish communal workers facilitated by Rabbi Dayle Friedman, Director of Hiddur: The Center for Aging and Judaism of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. Other presenters include:

  • Carol Hausman, Ph.D., gerontologist, clinical psychologist and founder of the Washington Jewish Healing Network
  • Chaplain Sheila Segal, BCC, Abramson Center for Jewish Life, Horsham, Pa.
  • Rabbi Gary Lavit, BBC, Chaplain, Hebrew Healthcare, W. Hartford, Conn.
