JERUSALEM - Israeli President Shimon Peres is bringing together world leaders past and present for a gathering in Jerusalem celebrating Israel's 60th anniversary.
The headline speaker at the three-day conference is U.S. President George W. Bush, who landed in Israel Wednesday. Other attendees include former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and an array of other Jewish Nobel laureates, including writer and Holocaust survivor Eli Wiesel.
Also attending are businessmen like Google founder Sergey Brin and media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
Peres is the brains behind the three-day conference. Participants will discuss the future of Israel and the Jewish people, as well as trends affecting the rest of the world.
