2008 Congressional and Presidential Elections

The Jewish community is gearing up for the upcoming 2008 elections. In addition to the presidential elections, one New Jersey U.S. Senator and all New Jersey U.S. Representatives are up for re-election. To insure that community members are well-informed voters and that priority issues of concern are on the agenda of the candidates, CRC brings you the following state-wide programming.

  • September 16, 7:15 p.m.: 7th U.S. Congressional District Debate with candidates State Senator Leonard Lance and Assemblywoman Linda Stender - in Scotch Plains
  • September 16, 7:30 p.m.: 5th U.S. Congressional District Town Hall Meeting with candidates Congressman Scott Garrett (represented by a surrogate) and Dennis Schulman - in Washington Township.
  • September 21, 10:00 a.m.: "A Forum for Jewish Women Voters: What’s Important to Us," featuring surrogates from the Obama and McCain campaigns, in New Brunswick. Click here for more information.

Stay tuned for the CRC-sponsored senatorial forum coming in October.
