Lester Society

Dedicated to the vision of a bright future for our Jewish community, Lester Society members have created endowments of $100,000 or more to the Jewish Community Foundation of MetroWest as unrestricted gifts or as annual campaign endowments (ACE). Funds from these gifts benefit the annual campaign of the United Jewish Appeal of MetroWest.

Created in 1993, the Lester Society has 246 members, with commitments of more than $101 million, as of September 2002.

Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE)

A Lion of Judah Endowment is created with a minimum commitment of $100,000 designated to perpetuate the donor's annual Lion of Judah contribution. As of September 2002, more than 139 MetroWest women have established LOJEs. Women who establish a LOJE become members of the Lester Society. Lions of Judah make an annual gift of $5,000 or more to the Women's Campaign of the United Jewish Appeal of MetroWest NJ.

LOJE is a joint project of the Jewish Community Foundation and the Women's Department of the United Jewish Federation of MetroWest.
