On the Ground in Israel A personal view of our efforts in Israel from Amir Shacham, UJC MetroWest Director of Israel Operations November 24, 2008 |
Todah
Last week, we concluded a long series of events, functions, conferences, missions, and dedications to mark the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel and the 30th anniversary of the first partnership of MetroWest in Israel. In many ways, it was a milestone in UJC MetroWest's relationships with the State of Israel, and it will be impossible to convey the Ruach, the power, and pride to those of you who couldn't join us in person this time. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I would like to take this opportunity and use "On the Ground" to say Todah (thank you) to the hundreds of participants from New Jersey and Israel, and all the members of our greater MetroWest community who took part in our celebrations and contributed to the fact that we are one: MetroBest.
Thanks to the communities of Neve Eliyahu, Hurfeish, and MetroWest for creating a unique three- way partnership. Todah! |
