Featuring Tamir Goodman of the Maccabi Haifa Heat Basketball Club
Celebrate the first night of Hanukkah at JCC MetroWest with a “Haifa Hoops for Kids” Basketball Clinic and presentation featuring Tamir Goodman of the Maccabi Haifa Heat Basketball Club, an Israeli Premier League Team. This first-ever Israeli sports philanthropic program will benefit underprivileged children in the Haifa area.
It all takes place at the Leon & Toby Cooperman JCC, Ross Family Campus, 760 Northfield Avenue, West Orange on Sunday, December 21. Play basketball and watch the lighting of the first candle of Hanukkah at these times:

Tamir Goodman is a 6-foot, 3-inch guard who has played professionally both in Israel and in the United States. Goodman, an Orthodox Jew, garnered national media attention while starring at the Talmudical Academy of Baltimore, where he was named 25th best high school player in the country. Goodman was signed by Maccabi Tel Aviv to begin his professional career in Israel. He played five seasons in Israel for four different teams, reaching the Israeli Cup finals and Israeli Premier League Semifinals in 2003 with Maccabi Givat Shmuel. Goodman signed with Maccabi Haifa Heat for the 2008-09 season.
