• Urge Your members of Congress to support security assistance for Israel – call for a strong International Affairs Budget – Members of Congress are circulating letters to President-elect Barack Obama to urge him to support a robust international affairs budget for FY 2010 that includes critical security assistance for Israel.

  Send a letter to your Representative and Senators
   
• Urge the President-Elect to keep his promise of ending genocide in Darfur a priority – As a candidate, Barak Obama promised “unstinting resolve” to end the genocide in Darfur. Send a letter to urge him to keep that promise by making Darfur a priority from day one of his term, to achieve protection of civilians from violence, starvation, and disease; sustainable peace for all Sudan; and justice for victims and accountability for perpetrators.

• Act Now! Support the Open Fuel Standard Act & End American Dependence on Foreign Oil Each year, well over half a trillion U.S. dollars are spent on oil imported from OPEC and non-OPEC nations. This bill sets America on a path of energy independence by introducing fuel choice into the American vehicle market. The Open Fuel Standard Act requires that, starting in 2012, 50% of new automobiles and, starting in 2015, 80% of new automobiles be flex-fuel vehicles.
