Instructions for using GoodSearch and Good Shop

GoodSearch is a search engine powered by Yahoo!, so you will get proven search results, and it works just like the best search engines do. And GoodShop takes you directly to many of the best and most popular online stores, so you shop just like always. Only by using GoodShop to go to your favorite store, from three to 20 percent of your purchase is donated to UJC.

Here’s how to use GoodSearch and GoodShop.

Begin on the UJC MetroWest home page:

1. Go to the home page for UJC and click on the GoodSearch logo in the upper left.
2. You will be taken to the GoodSearch search page, and the page will automatically be registered to make donations to UJC MetroWest for every search you make.
3. Every time you return to the GoodSearch search page, the page will be registered for UJC MetroWest. After your first visit, you can go there directly and UJC will benefit from your web searches.

Begin by going directly to GoodSearch:

1. Go to: www.goodsearch.com.
2. In the box marked “Who do you GoodSearch for?” type in “MetroWest.” Then, click “Verify.”
3. You will get a series of choices in a drop-down menu. Go to the bottom of the list and select “United Jewish Communities – MetroWest New Jersey (Whippany, NJ).”
4. The page is now registered to make donations to UJC MetroWest for every search you make.
5. Every time you return to the GoodSearch search page, the page will be registered for UJC MetroWest.

1. Go to the GoodSearch search page by either of the methods above.
2. Click on the link for GoodShop.
3. On the GoodShop home page, you will see a list of many of your favorite online stores.
4. Click on the site you want to visit and then shop as you normally do. But because you went there from GoodShop, a portion of your purchases will be donated to UJC MetroWest.
5. Remember: Every time you want your purchases to benefit UJC, you need to go to GoodShop first.
