UJC MetroWest, working with various internal departments and agencies throughout the community, is proud to provide opportunities for teens to connect to the MetroWest Jewish community. As the future of the Jewish community, today's teenagers represent the best and brightest of tomorrow, and UJC MetroWest is committed to offering various points of engagement that not only make teens feel welcome today but empower them to be the leaders of the Jewish community in the future.
Currently, UJC and its partners offer the following teen opportunities: JTEEN, Iris Teen Tzedakah Program, Diller Teen Fellows, Jewish Camping.
Central Hebrew High School
Central Hebrew High School, the MetroWest community school for post-bar mitzvah age students, meets twice a week at the Joseph Kushner Academy in Livingston. There is also a satellite location in Montclair. This program provides the opportunity to study with teens from all over the MetroWest area.

Diller Teen Fellows
The Diller Teen Fellows Program is a leadership development program for exceptional Jewish teens. Jewish Camping
Jewish overnight camp can be a transformative experience for young people. It is a 24-hour-a day immersion in a joyful, fun environment in which Jewish values are learned and lived simultaneously.
Thanks to support from the national Foundation for Jewish Camping, the MetroWest community has been piloting a “campership” incentive program to encourage families to choose Jewish residential camps rather than secular, for-profit camps.

Iris Teen Tzedakah Program
The Iris Teen Tzedakah Program gives teens an opportunity to make a difference in our local community and around the world through learning, advocacy, and philanthropy. Learn about how our Jewish community responds to those in need locally, globally and in Israel. During this two year program you will work together with your peers and various agencies in order to do tikkun olam, the Jewish imperative to repair the world. The Iris Teen Tzedakah Program is named in memory of Herb Iris, one of the MetroWest community’s most beloved leaders.
