Remembering the lives of the Six Million killed in the Holocaust. The Temple Emanu—El's Yom HaShoah commemoration, with music and words to touch the soul. Speaking that evening will be Eva Wiener, a survivor of the incredible and horrifying voyage of SS St. Louis, which left Germany 70 years ago. Mrs. Weiner will share her family's story of this infamous "Voyage of the Damned." The ship was turned away from country after country, condemning many passengers to death back in Europe. The Gaelen Center for the Arts and the Holocaust Council of MetroWest present Ashrei HaGafrur: The Life and Words of Hannah Senesh, a Yom HaShoah and Yom HaZikaron program featuring the Kol Dodi Chorale of MetroWest, led by Cantor Erica Lippitz; Barbara Wind, Director, Holocaust Council of MetroWest; and Rabbi Clifford Kulwin, Temple B'nai Abraham with members of the JCC MetroWest Teen Production Company as the voice of Hannah Senesh.
