United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) launches Iran Business Registry
Signaling the growing concern among U.S. citizens about Iran's nuclear enrichment program, a new national organization has been created, called United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI). UANI has launched an Iran Business Registry to provide grassroots and individual advocates with a tool for helping to put financial pressure on companies reported to be doing business in Iran. The IBR serves as an information clearinghouse to be used in making investment decisions and decisions on the products you purchase. Iran is uniquely susceptible to financial pressure at this time, as Iran's leadership diverts billions of dollars of oil revenue to its nuclear program. For more information, click here.

ACT NOW
Iran is the greatest national security threat to the U.S. and its allies. The Iranian regime tops the list of state sponsors of terrorism, is pursuing nuclear weapons in defiance of the international community, repeatedly calls for the destruction of Israel, and has one of the world's worst human rights records.

Your help is needed to end Iran's sponsorship of terrorism and its aggressive pursuit of nuclear weapons. As the new administration develops its policy towards Iran, we urge you raise your voice and advocate for tough economic measures to stop Iran's covert nuclear enrichment program and take action by divesting your personal holdings from targeted companies doing business with Iran.

ACTION NEEDED
Urge Your Representatives to Support Iran Sanctions Enabling Act of 2009

The Iran Sanctions Enabling Act of 2009 (H.R. 1327) allows state and local governments to divest from companies that have invested at least 20 million dollars in Iran's energy sector and will protect fund managers from potential lawsuits if they choose to divest from these companies. The bill has been introduced in the House Financial Services by Chairman Barney Frank (D-MA). Similar legislation (H.R. 2347) introduced in the last Congress passed overwhelmingly in the House of Representatives in July 2007, but the Senate failed to act on the corresponding bill.

E-mail your members of the House of Representatives to urge them to support the Iran Sanctions Enabling Act of 2009 (H.R. 1327). If your Representative is Scott Garrett, please thank him for being a co-sponsor. CLICK HERE TO TAKE ACTION.

Divest — Join the Economic War on Terror
Divest your personal holdings from any targeted company doing business with Iran, and join the CRC Terror Free Investment Campaign. CRC has prepared a Divestment/Terror-Free Investment Tool Kit to help you undertake this process. UJC and the State of New Jersey have both divested from these companies and you can, too.
