An inveterate fundraiser on behalf of UJC who is legendary in the MetroWest Jewish community, Rita Waldor is the recipient of the 2008 Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland Award, The national award, presented by the UJC umbrella organization, recognizes women who set a high standard for philanthropy through volunteerism and financial commitment.  more

Maxine Fischer Scholarship for Young Women Application Deadline is February 23, 2010

Women's Philanthropy of United Jewish Communities of MetroWest NJ, in conjunction with the Maxine Fischer Memorial Fund of the Jewish Community Foundation of MetroWest, has established the Maxine Fischer Scholarship in order to help perpetuate the memory and values of the late Maxine Fischer, whose interest was in Jewish education for women. The scholarship award is $3,000. learn more
