Normandy Beach Art Exhibit
Drawings of the Normandy Invasion by Ugo Giannini
Gaelen Gallery West
February 8 – March 5, 2010

MetroWest artist and teacher Ugo Giannini (1919-1993) was
a soldier during World War II. His drawings of the Normandy Invasion are extremely unusual – they are the only extant drawings done on D-Day, itself. This multimedia exhibit includes World War II artifacts and a collection of Giannini’s post-war paintings, inspired by one of history’s greatest battles.
