Stand for Israel

Join with world leaders and add your name to the Stand For Israel Statement to stop the ongoing assaults on Israel's legitimacy and its right to live in peace within safe and defensible borders.

It is our goal to have 40,000 people, from ages 16 and up, participate in this effort. This statement will be presented to President Obama and Madame Secretary Clinton to show our community's strong support for Israel.

Community Relations Committee (CRC) is urging all MetroWest citizens to add their name to the Stand For Israel statement. It is our goal to have 40,000 people, from ages 16 and up, participate in this effort. This Statement, will be presented to President Obama and Madame Secretary Clinton to show our community’s strong support for Israel.

The CRC has joined with Friends of Israel, an international initiative, to counter the growing efforts to delegitimize the State of Israel and its right to live in peace within safe and defensible borders. We believe Israel is subjected to unfair treatment, and are convinced that defending Israel means defending the values that made and sustain our Western civilization.

The Statement makes the following points:

  1. Israel is a sovereign nation with shared Western values.
  2. Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state in the Middle East should not be questioned.
  3. Israel, as a sovereign country, has a right to self-defense.
  4. Israel is on our side: Israel’s future is our fate.
  5. We believe in peace, but peace in the Middle East is not just about Israel and the Palestinians.
  6. We share the same threats and challenges: the spread of Islamic fundamentalism and jihadism; and the prospect of a nuclear Iran.
  7. We must stand together in a spirit of solidarity.

The Statement was originally issued by the world leaders listed below by the Friends of Israel.
