**Press Release** Volunteer Workshop Targeting Older Adults Coming to Parsippany and CaldwellParsippany LIVE and Caldwell LIVE — Lifelong Involvement for Vital Elders — are pleased to announce a new workshop available to residents age 60 and older. The workshop, “Volunteer Opportunities with AmeriCorps,” will take place on Monday, August 23, at 10 a.m. at the Lake Hiawatha Library, 20 Nokomis Avenue, Lake Hiawatha. Guest speaker Jacqueline Simon, AmeriCorps Program Manager of the International Institute of New Jersey, will discuss various volunteer opportunities especially for individual over the age of 60. AmeriCorps offers a small stipend and scholarships for continuing education. The workshop is free and open to the community. For more information, call Inna Kramers at (973) 674-6330, x 230. Parsippany LIVE and Caldwell LIVE are federally funded programs intended to develop programs and services to enable residents 60 and older to remain in the community. United Jewish Communities of MetroWest NJ serves as lead agency for both programs, and Jewish Family Service (JFS) of MetroWest and Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) of MetroWest collaboratively implement the projects.
