LAUSANNE CONFERENCE ENDS, 1949

The Lausanne Conference, an attempt to bring representatives of Israel and the Arab states together to find a solution to the conflict in the region, ends in failure.

TERRORISTS FIRE ON BUS AT THE GUSH ETZION JUNCTION, 1996

Palestinian terrorists fired on a bus at the Gush Etzion Junction, lightly wounding two Israeli women. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility for the attack.
