Federation supports a continuum of services to the elderly, working with the federation system to provide nearly one million U.S. Jews over age 65 with social activities, healthcare, and necessary services such as transportation, housing, food and counseling.

  • $10 delivers a holiday care package to a homebound senior.
  • $25 delivers winter relief (heating, etc.) for an elderly Romanian Holocaust survivor.
  • $50 delivers one week's transportation to and from the JCC for a local senior.
  • $50 delivers walkers, canes, and medical care to a frail Holocaust survivor in Romania.
  • $54 delivers annual dental screening and cleaning for an indigent senior.
  • $60 delivers one day's services for Alzheimer's.
  • $100 delivers a Personal Alert system for a senior living at home.
  • $120 delivers home repairs for an impoverished senior in Israel.
  • $150 delivers one month's medication for a senior.
  • $365 delivers one year of transportation to the doctor or pharmacy for a local senior.
  • $365 delivers one orthopedic wheelchair.
  • $500 delivers a hearing aid for an elderly person in the former Soviet Union.
  • $550 delivers a weekly kosher meal for one senior for a year.
  • $1,000 delivers a wheelchair ramp in a senior's home.
  • $1,100 delivers a driver, gas, insurance and general maintenance for a Hesed Mobile for a month to reach elderly in remote locations in the former Soviet Union.

  • $5,000 delivers winter relief packages of blankets, fuel, and clothing for 85 needy seniors.
