Get Out the Vote: Election 2004

As the November 2004 election approaches, it is important for all eligible voters to register and become knowledgeable about the candidates and their positions on the issues. In addition to voting for President of the United States on November 2, voters will have to choose who will represent them in the House of Representatives. Citizens over the age of 18 have the right to vote and should take advantage of this privilege and power.

In preparation for the election, the Community Relations Committee of UJC MetroWest will be continually sharing important information with the voters. Continue to visit www.ujcnj.org/vote2004 for the latest information.

Below are some key dates and voter registration links that can be useful for you, your family, and your associates. Please share this information with people you know to make sure every eligible voter has the opportunity to cast a vote on November 2.

The important election deadlines are:

  • Monday, October 4: the last day to register for the 2004 election
  • Tuesday, October 26: deadline for absentee ballots applications to be received by the County Clerk if they are mailed in
