Take a voyage of Jewish self-discovery

Do you feel good about your Jewish roots but limited by the scope of your Judaic knowledge?
Would you like to study Judaism but don't know where or how?
Do you want more than guest lectures and short-term seminars?

Then The Florence Melton Adult Mini-School is for you!

The Florence Melton Adult Mini-School is a proven concept in adult Jewish learning that inspires, empowers and challenges Judaism's common roots and experiences in a pluralistic way. Instructors are Judaically learned, experienced educators who are trained to teach adult learners. Classes are personal, integrating Jewish history, law, language, practices and ideas through direct study of primary sources, critical and reflective analysis, and group interaction.

Classes meet once a week for 30 weeks per year beginning in September over a two-year period. Each session consists of two one-hour classes with a break for coffee and informal discussion. There are no prerequisites, grades, or exams. Graduates receive a Certificate of Jewish Studies from The Hebrew University and are invited to participate in a special seminar in Israel.

Florence Melton is a longtime Jewish activist and supporter of Jewish education. Her vision has resulted in a curriculum developed by a team of educators, rabbis and scholars at The Hebrew University's Melton Centre for Jewish Education. Classes meet during the day and in the evening in Essex County and Morris County locations.
